Corporate Social Responsibility

Commitment

CORE is conscious of the impact we have in ways that enhance society, staff well-being and the environment. With our keen sense of community welfare, we have participated in numerous charity sport events, donating all proceeds to charity.

We have nurtured volunteer efforts, by encouraging staff to participate in community outreach programs like Ramadan Iftars for construction workers, global housing initiatives for the less fortunate and environmental initiatives such as Earth Hour. As important as social responsibility is for the community, it is equally valuable for CORE to build stronger bonds between employee and corporation, to boost morale and help employees feel more connected with the world around them.

Credentials

We are proud to have reduced our carbon footprint, by introducing office-wide recycling stations in association with InfoFort’s Green Box initiative. By respecting UAE green rating standards wherever possible and inspiring staff to be mindful of environmental issues and recycling at home, we aim to build CORE’s green credentials and pass these practices onto our clients.

Culture

At CORE, we recognize that our biggest assets are our employees. We strive to provide a working environment that fosters collaboration and teamwork through safe and sustainable methods. With our inhouse Training Academy, staff engagement programs, achievement reward and recognition, we ensure that all staff are given the resource tools needed to be the best.

The safety of our staff is paramount to our corporate responsibility. We provide all staff with robust health insurance with access to globally recognised medical facilities. We ensure that our workers compensation insurance is more than adequate, alongside educating staff on how to access their benefits.

CORE’s health, safety and worker welfare is the top priority of our Partners, Directors and Managers, nurturing happy and healthy staff, protects the overall success of our business.

Charity

With such a broad spectrum of brilliant causes to support, CORE wants to ensure diversity with our donations and social conscience, by choosing 3 charities that represent the sentiment and concern of all our employees.

DUBAI CARES
CORE's assets are the people that work for us, finely chosen for their varied skill-sets, expertise and international experience. For many, education is a human right and sometimes taken for granted, yet throughout the world many still lack this fundamental opportunity to become positive contributors to society.

Since its inception, Dubai Cares, part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Global Initiatives, has been working towards providing children and young people in developing countries with access to quality education through the design and funding of programs that aim to be integrated, impactful, sustainable and scalable. As a result, the UAE-based global philanthropic organization has successfully launched education programs reaching over 18 million beneficiaries in 53 developing countries.

THE OCEAN CLEANUP PROJECT
With it’s enviable coastal position and ‘ocean-breaking’ ventures, we understand the value of ensuring the planet’s oceans are cleansed of manmade debris, not only for real estate in Dubai, but the larger global concern for marine life and environmental pollution.

The Ocean Cleanup has developed the world’s first feasible method to rid the oceans of plastic. Instead of going after the plastic with vessels and nets, which would take many thousands of years and billions of dollars to complete, The Ocean Cleanup has developed a passive drifting system which allows the ocean currents to concentrate the plastic itself. They estimate to be able to clean half the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (between Hawaii and California) in five years’ time from full-scale deployment.

THORN
With the CORE family growing with recent new arrivals for many members of staff and our understanding of the power of social media and online presence, we are also concerned of the darker corners of the worldwide web.

This non-profit organization works with a group of technology partners who serve the organization as members of the ‘Technology Task Force’. The goal of the program includes developing technological barriers and initiatives to ensure the safety of children online and deter predators on the internet. Various corporate members of the task force include Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, Salesforce Foundation, Symantec and Twitter.
